Gasthaus Ochsen in Amtzell

A great inn, warm people, very good food ... well worth a visit.

We were there at a wedding and the staff was very rude and seemed rushed! When asked about a vegetarian dish, the waitress reacted by rolling her eyes and giving a sloppy answer! There are no "Kässpätzle".

Family atmosphere with selected decorations. Very appealing and recommendable. Tasty and freshly prepared. 👍👍🙌 Until next time.

Outstanding food very friendly staff

High prices with average quantity and quality, that's how I would really like to rate a visit to the Ochsen! For example, a manageable portion of SchniPoSa costs € 14.80 and drinks are around € 4 in the teuro range. The dishes were served by 2 guests at different times! The service staff didn't pass our requests on to the kitchen either, so we weren't exactly full, but we went back with an empty wallet. Furthermore, there is neither mobile phone reception in the inn in Pfärrich, nor is WiFi available. All in all, there is actually no particular reason to stop by here again!

Today, July 26, 2020, we are with our 103-year-old grandma (in a wheelchair!), Who was able to celebrate her 80th birthday in the "Ox" almost 24 years ago, after a long time again - to a cyclist - in the "Ox" "returned to parish. Since the weather was so moody, we had to cancel our hike from the large car park in Pfärrich and return. The luck in the misfortune was today, however, that it was only 3:15 p.m. and we were able to stop for a bike in the "Ox". Because - unfortunately! - The "Ox" is only open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It was very nice to sit outside and the Farny cyclist also tasted good to our very old grandma. 👍 And since the weather improved, we were able to hike up the path to the "grotto" and back. Great food. Beautiful in the green. Again and again.

The ox in Pfärrich is a Swabian treat. Regional, seasonal products and dishes are offered that offer something for every palate. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is rounded off by a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The dishes are extensive from vegi to fish, meat and all kinds of side dishes and great dessert options. I can only recommend a sundae at the end. I am a regular and really always very satisfied.

Unfortunately today the staff was not set to guests. After waiting 15 minutes someone came and took the order at the next table. We overlooked one another. Only on a second request we were noticed. No apology or anything like that. We left then and will not come back

Very satisfied. Gladly again. Seems like a young team friendly accommodating everything was great. Card is not too big, partly traditional partly creative. Even the soap on the toilet has a very pleasant smell. Somebody has an eye for the whole.
